DAVIDE DI GIOVANNI – FOUNDER & ARTISTIC DIRECTOR
Davide's career began after receiving a full scholarship to Scuola del Balletto di Toscana. He later joined the junior company at the Balletto dell'Esperia in Turin, collaborating with renowned choreographers Jacopo Godani,Gustavo Ramirez Sansano, and William Forsythe. At the age of 23, in Munich, he became part of the Gärtnerplatz Theater, working with choreographers Marco Göcke, Alexander Ekman, and Jø Strømgren.
In 2017, he moved to Australia joining the Sydney Dance Company. While there, he performed at the Paris Opera Ballet alongside Eleonora Abbagnato and Stéphan Bullion as well as creating and performing works by Ohad Naharin and Rafael Bonachela. In November of 2020, he made his debut as a choreographer with "In Walked Bud” performed as a part of Sydney Dance Companies New Breed production.
May 2023 saw the launch of NON and presentation of ‘How we take each others love’ to a sold out crowd in Sydney. In December 2024, Davide made his film directorial debut presenting ‘ The Innocense of a Dream’ at the Art Gallery of NSW. Davide continues to dance as well as choreograph in his new role as Artistic Director for New Old Now.

Chloe's dance journey began at the esteemed Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance, receiving a 1st Class BA Hons degree. Her professional career began as a guest artist with the Rambert Company and then went onto join junior contemporary company 'IT Dansa' in Barcelona.
In 2015, Chloe joined Sydney Dance Company and in that same year received the Helpmann Award for 'Best Female Dancer', for her role in William Forsythe's 'Quintett.'
In her illustrious career of over a decade, Chloe has collaborated and performed works by renowned choreographers, including William Forsythe, Alexander Ekman, Crystal Pite, Sidi Labi Cherkaoui, Rafael Bonachela, Cheng Tsung-lung, and Ohad Naharin. She made her choreographic debut in 2021, for Sydney Dance Company’s season of New Breed and has since choreographed for The Old Fitz Theatre, Maison Valentino and The Australian Ballet.
In 2024, Chloe joins New Old Now as Co-Director and dancer, aligning her artistic pursuits and practices to foster the vision of NON.
Davide and Chloe are both unique and talented dancers. As the principal dancers of their former company, they developed a strong friendship and creative partnership rooted in their shared passion for dance. During their time in lead roles, they performed main duets both nationally and internationally, fostering a deep trust and unspoken understanding between them. Their shared European heritage and experiences significantly influence their artistic tastes and creativity.

In doing so, we ‘move’ and think differently while still honouring the lineage of contemporary and classical dance.
